When you sign up for Article Launcher, we collect the following information through Google OAuth:
- Your name and email address
- Your Google profile avatar
We also collect information you provide while using the service, including article content, site configurations, and preferences.
2. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) Data
If you provide third-party API keys (e.g., for AI model providers), those keys are stored encrypted in our database. We never share, log, or access your API keys beyond what is strictly necessary to make API calls on your behalf. You are responsible for managing and rotating your own keys.
3. How We Store Your Data
All data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Google Cloud Platform. We use industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit. Database access is restricted to essential services only.
4. Cookies
Article Launcher uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party analytics cookies. The session cookie is HTTP-only, secure, and expires after 7 days of inactivity.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Google OAuth — for authentication. Google receives your login request but we do not share your usage data with Google.
- Stripe — for payment processing and subscription management. Stripe handles all payment data directly; we never store your credit card information.
- Resend — for transactional emails (account notifications, billing receipts). We share only your email address for delivery purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some data may be retained in encrypted backups for up to 90 days. Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your personal data
- Data portability — request an export of your data in a machine-readable format
- Restriction — request that we limit processing of your data
